25. A magnificent palace in the heart of Roma !
Piazza di San Luigi de' Francesi, 00186 Roma, Italia

Palazzo Patrizi was built at the end of ‘500 by the Aldobrandini family who ordered the actual facade to the famous architects Carlo Maderno and Giacomo della Porta. In 1642 the building passed to the Marquis Patrizi, the current owners, originally from Siena but strictly related with many Roman families including Marchesi Montoro and Marchesi Naro, keepers of the famous Banner of the Holy Roman Church, delivered by Pope Urban VIII in 1603. During the XVII century Marchesi Patrizi did significant changes to the building, which have contributed to the current structure . All the rooms are furnished with XVII and XVIII century furniture and the collection of paintings, made at the beginning of XVII century by Costanzo Patrizi treasurer of Pope Paul V Borghese, is really important and especially interesting. The second floor has historically been the former residence of the family and visiting the rooms you will live the feeling of being in a noble house of XVII century! Palazzo Patrizi is still the residence of the homonymous family and Marchese Corso Patrizi will welcome you!
