Lombardia – Bergamo
Villa Moroni in Stezzano was built in the XVII century, originally at the center of an agricultural estate, focused on the silk cultivation .
The Moroni family, descendants of Gian Battista Moroni, the famous sixteenth-century portrait painter, still live in the Villa and will welcome guests and lead them through the various historical rooms to discover the history of the family and the territory. The ground floor consists of large reception rooms, 11 of which frescoed, and each with a different theme. The taste of the time is faithfully represented in the imaginative collection of their decorations which illustrate mythological, heraldic and archaeological scenes.
Lunch and dinner will be prepared with old family’s recipes and accompanied with the wines produced in the agricultural estate.
Villa Moroni can host seated for up to 250 persons in a unique vast ballroom.
